Two US - bound ships no longer call at Chinese ports! The transportation cycle may increase by 3 - 5 days.

Recently, Maersk announced on its official website that the TP7 service of Maersk would be subject to temporary changes, which took effect immediately.


It is understood that this change will affect the transfer plans of two ships. The "Potomac Express" (managed by Marine Transport Management of the United States) will first go to South Korea and then return to the United States. The imported goods from Ningbo will be unloaded and transferred in Busan, and the exported goods will be first loaded onto the "Maersk Luz" and then connected at Gwangyang Port on October 24. For the other ship "Maersk Kinloss" (of Maersk's US - subsidiary fleet), the goods from Ningbo will also be unloaded and transferred in South Korea, and the exported goods will be transited in South Korea by a to - be - determined "feeder ship".


It is reported that the "Potomac Express" has docked at Busan Port. The "Maersk Kinloss" is currently sailing to Yokohama and is expected to arrive at Busan Port on October 22.


For cargo owners and freight forwarders, due to the adjustment of Maersk's "China - South Korea - US" process, the transportation cycle may increase by 3 - 5 days due to transshipment, putting pressure on time - sensitive goods.
