On September 3, COSCO Shipping Lines announced the official launch of its new WSA8 shipping route. This route focuses on enhancing efficiency and connectivity to Mexican hubs, providing customers with expedited shipping services between China and Mexico.

According to reports, Mexico is a critical node in Latin America’s industrial chain, with the Port of Manzanillo serving as its core gateway. The new route precisely targets this vital hub, offering more frequent schedules, ample cabin space, and stable services to further improve COSCO Shipping’s service quality in Mexico.

The new route provides fast direct services from East and North China to Mexico, while also covering return routes from Mexico to Japan and back to East and North China. The port rotation for the new route is as follows: Shanghai - Qingdao - Ensenada - Manzanillo - Yokohama - Shanghai.

COSCO Shipping Lines stated that whether for raw material shipments, finished product deliveries, or cross-border transshipments, the WSA8 route offers efficient, stable, and reliable shipping support. It reduces transportation time, improves vessel turnover efficiency, and drives new growth in transportation and trade. With the launch of the WSA8 route, COSCO Shipping’s service capabilities in the West South American market will be further strengthened.
