Ten Australian ports face a disruption shutdown on Friday as maritime workers at tugboat company Svitzer go on strike over the Danish company's attempt to terminate its corporate agreement.

More than 1,900 workers at the Port of Felixstowe, UK's largest container port, are planning an eight-day strike later this month due to wage discontent.

On Aug. 2 the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced that it will impose a new container imbalance fee on liner companies.
